When should Car brakes be replaced?

The brakes on a car are one of the most important safety features that a vehicle has to offer. Without them, you wouldn't be able to stop in time in an emergency situation. So, when should you replace your brakes? This is a question that many people have asked for years and it's a difficult one to give an answer for. There are a few things that you need to take into consideration when deciding when brake replacement is necessary. For example, do you see leaking fluids under your car or certain types of noises coming from the brakes while braking.

Driving with old brakes is an unsafe and irresponsible. Replacing your car’s brakes when the brake warning light comes on and/or when you hear a grinding noise can help prevent accidents and save lives.
It is important to get regular brake checks from a certified technician. Brake pads should be replaced after driving about 50,000 miles (80,000 km). The rotors should be inspected for wear after driving about 25,000 miles (40,000 km). You should consult your owner’s manual to find out the best way to maintain your vehicle.
